Are you having the drawbar bent, or cutting out the horizontal cross bar and forming that to a "U" or "V"?

Right. It's supposed to be a very slight "V" shape. Only looking for a 6-inch difference, so we don't create another issue.

Forming that crossbar into a "U" shape would completely fix the wagon, but that would be a big fabrication job.

SOLVED! I got the piece back from the welder and finally had a chance to get the cutter back together. I'm glad my 14-year old son is bigger than me, so he could help me get it finished. It's PERFECT! The only downside I see is the maximum height is compromised a little, but it should still get up plenty high. I mowed a little and I think my problem is solved. There seems to be plenty of clearance at the driveshaft.

I’m glad you got it fixed. Correct me if I’m wrong but looking at the pics you’ve lost some maximum cutting height because the hitch point is lower.

Wouldn’t a reversed offset drawbar or an offset added to a straight one have accomplished the same thing without altering the mower’s hitch? Or would you still have PTO shaft interference?

Yes. It has lowered the maximum height, which I expected.

And yes, the offset drawbar is exactly what I was looking for at the beginning of this post, but I discovered that if I lowered it 6-inches at the drawbar point, I could have some high-centering issues. I feel like this is the best solution.

Thanks for everybody noodling with me on it.
