I have a Lande Pride 72" rear mount finishing mower (FDR2572). last night, the drive belt jumped off the pulleys. So I took off the covers to accesd the belt & pulleys & got out my owner's manual.

But I have 2 problems:

1) The manual covers 3 model of mower: 60", 72" & 84". It looks to me like there is a mistake in the drawings, however. My puuley arrangment seems to match the drawing for the 60" mower, not the 72" mower.

Can anyone with a FDR2572 mower confirm this (of course, it could be for a specific year)?

2) What is the secret for getting the adjustable puylley back to here it shoyuld eb once you get the belt installed on all of the pulleys?

I tried many different ways, but I just can't push this pulley far enough to get it back to where it should be.

Any thoughts?

I assume you mean you are having problems stretching the belt over the pulleys?

One of the pulleys should have a threaded rod or spring to adjust the tension. Mark where the it started with a paint pen or magic marker and loosten it all the way. After you get he belt over the pullyes retension the one you adjusted.

I have the 2584 mower and I will check my manual and see what it says. This mower was bought last year so it may not apply to yours but I will check anyway.
