I am embarrassed to ask this-- I can't seem to get this driveline in the tractor PTO shaft. Does anyone know whether I twist the black plastic it pull the black plastic backward? It doesn't seem to want to move.

(See attachment)

Thanks !

Buck,
None of mine are like that, but I think you pull back on the black ring.
Hope it helps.

I don't know if it is just my computer but a lot of these pictures seem real dark to me. I lightened up the picture to show a little more detail.

Buck, looks like one of mine - takes a twist. When I connect it I have the tractor stopped and the PTO out of gear. That way you can spin the PTO shaft to get it started and twist the black piece to slide it on. After you have it slid on, tug on the driveshaft to make sure the detent caught..............chim

It appears more consistent with a twist than a pull. The grip on the plastic is in line with this.

I tried pulling and twisting with a monkey wrench to no avail. I'll try it again tonight,

Thanks,

Inspector,

What you say is consistent with my seasoned neighbor. Somehow I'll check it out further tonight.

Thank you,

Buck

Thanks all for input.

It was a twist. For some reason or another the twist wasn't working when the driveline was semi-mounted. My neighbor suggested, then, that we reduce the length of the driveline and the twist worked.

As my IQ is diminishing, I haven't the ability nor the desire to explain this.

Thanks again,

Buck
