Geotextile before your Gravel of choice?

Crushed with fines does make a very nice drive, as long as there are no steep inclines.
Problem is on a steep and perhaps long incline heavy rains will gather momentum and wash out those fines.
Our city tried that approach and reverted to crushed/recycled asphalt some 10 years ago and so far maintenance has been minimal.

I'm considering using a geo-cell that holds the crusher in place. Has anyone tried it?
What's geo cell? Like geo grid? I dunno anything about all that except that geogrid is used to stack layers in a fill or retaining wall or whatever.

I like geotextile because it keeps the Gravel from getting pushed down into the mud below where it disappears into nothingness. Still let's water filter through. Helps some with weeds. Makes a big difference.

It's a vertical webbing 2" or 4" thick for holding material in place. It can go on top of the geotextile. Here's a link, but there are multiple brands.
