Driving in a snow storm

I made this short movie yesterday of driving the last 4 miles to my house in the country in a snow storm. It is pretty much driving like this for 4 months a year. The plows are quite efficient and have things clear most of the time. I live on what is called a tertiary road - one of the last to get plowed.

Thanks for shareing. Here is very early season driving up over a Colorado pass. This was in early October.

Fortunately, I am retired, but it was an enjoyable drive. I could have stayed home but it was so beautiful out.

This is exactly why I am looking for property in the U.P. I can't stand another winter like we've had in SE Minnesota. I know the Yoopers haven't had a good winter but your video gives me hope.

I did that crap for most of my life, Thats why I live in N/East Ga. we might see white stuff once a year. It was 75 here yesterday. Our temps are 30s, 40, night 50s 60s day all winter.

I remember one winter when my wife and I were driving the transcanada highway just a few miles from home and I had to have my pregnant wife walk in front of the truck because visability was zero and no way to tell where side of highway was (ditch?) so we did the worst hundred yards that way.
But we got thru the bad sections that way , no one else on highway .
Many times here we don't get to see black pavement on the secondary highways for months.....and budget cutbacks will only make it worse.
