Driving through St. Louis....local input please

Around here, Bass Pro Shop is the place to hang out and drool so I went to check it out, big let down since I was expecting something like the Cabelas in Sidney, Ne. not even close. I could spend a week in the Sidney store, awesome.

You need to visit BP's original store in Springfield MO. It's the showplace with trout streams and waterfalls running thru the store.

the springfield store is pretty big. The new one just east of KC, Mo (Independence) isn't bad, either.

I used to run by there every week, right after they got it built, I quit running that way, would love to see it.

Ok, 370 is deserted...an easy drive. Only problem is I jumped off to gas up at the first exit with gas listed, end of ramp it says 3/4 mile to the gas, ok, I'm off already, ends up being up the hill around the curve through the light app. 1-1/2 miles.

On 70 & 74 everybody was running the limit. First time I have ever taken a drive of that length, cruise consistently set 2-3 over the posted limit (except around markers 98-99 in IL, a well known trap) and been passed by very, very little traffic and virtually no trucks...in 1100 miles. Now I get to do it again in 6 weeks. Thanks to all for the info.
