Thanks guys.

Speaking of rough fields. I failed to mention in the video, they plant 24 rows down the tops of the ridges so the buggies have a smooth pathway to the semi.

Yes, communication is critical for these guys and obvious.

Spectacular video. It's what we have around here but never saw it from that perspective. Commentary is equally excellent and very helpful.
This really is first class.

EDIT--on the ethanol question...around here, damp, dirty or even moldy grain goes straight to the ethanol plant if one is close
enough.

What other videos have you done and is there a thread on the drone thing with type and cost and how to do it? Need to know more.

Very nice video, Richard. I'm a commercial UAS (drone) pilot and I think your camera movements are very professional!

Just a note, unless you have a waiver from the FAA, I don't think you should talk about your altitude and time of evening you were flying. Unless you have a waiver, some might seek to hassle you about being above 400 feet above ground and flying over 30 minutes after sunset. General aviation guys can get pretty grumpy when drones get into altitudes where they could be flying. I'm sure you're sensible and practical about it, but I have heard of people being hassled when officials found their footage on YouTube.

Funny, but once I was taking aerial video over a farm in Alabama at a perfectly legal height and location, and an AirEvac helicopter came over the treeline at probably 100 feet AGL, in MY space at 120mph. I didn't have time to do anything but freeze the drone in place and hope he didn't hit it. I think he flew under it.

Please don't take my comment as criticism. I love the video. It gives a whole new level of appreciation for the business of harvesting.

Thanks Six. There are several Drone companies in business. Our local Sheriff's department recently bought one for $6000. I have $1200 in mine.

It's an expensive hobby. Unforeseen crashes have cost me $400. I enjoy doing it and my Wife is glad I have a productive hobby so it's all good.

I shot 45 minutes of video today. :)

No worries. Thank you for your comments. I totally understand what you are saying. Canadian friend of mine shot a high altitude video and said he "wasn't sure of his altitude". ;)
