We have sold thousands of drum mowers and thousands of disc mowers. I can tell you this, that the PZ design CCM drum mowers are more durable than any disc mower on the market. The CCM drum mowers fit a niche in the market for producers that need 5 acres or less an hour of production and have a small tractor. The price of a CCM drum mower is 50-60% of a disc mower so that makes them attractive and a great value for these size producers.
If an operator needs 5 acres or more an hour the disc mower technology is better suited for larger cutters. The HayMaxx shaft drive mowers will have 2 models available later this season for compact tractors.
