i;ve got a honda lawn tractor and that;s my been only complaint about it, that the radiator screen clogs up so quickly with dry grass and other debris
then i noticed kubota, on their lawn tractors, put the radiator at the back of the engine, in front of the operator's knees
and then i learned honda did it as well on their later model garden tractor (5518)
found the water pump on the rear of the engine has tapped / threaded openings for a fan shaft, and in another application of this engine, they also put the radiator at the back end
that's my tractor improvement project for this winter - move the radiator back, in front of my knees, a) hopefully less debris collects there and b) much easier to reach down and clean without getting off
