I’ve got a international truck that used to be a fire truck. Its got 212000 miles and 7,000 hours. It smokes white smoke at an atrocious level. I’ve pulled two injectors and had them checked and they said they were good. I’ve compression checked those 2 cylinders and they’re close to 300 psi. I’ve pulled the hose of between the turbo and the engine to check for oil being blown in and there is none. The truck seems to run pretty good. It had a miss when I bought it but I drove it home and it doesn’t seem to be missing anymore.

Are you having to add water? If so you are probably looking at a gasket problem. If you are using a lot of oil then best bet would be to find a good diesel mechanic for troubleshooting. With those hours and miles it is just getting broke in.

A mechanically injected DT466 is more than ready for an overhaul at 7000 hours.

The truck is too bad to drive and the 10 mile trip home is all I’ve drove it. And the water pump seaps anyway. I don’t think the head gasket is bad.

To me, white smoke suggests water/coolant leaking into combustion chamber.

This.

It's not oil related. You either have a bunch of water in your fuel, or a coolant leak that's leaking into your cylinder(s).

Wouldn’t that leak water into the cylinder and hydro lock it?

Depends entirely on how big the pinhole is and how far from the top of the sleeve. Cavitation erosion usually occurs in the bottom half of the sleeve. Everything is a guess until some real troubleshooting happens. 4 more injectors to pull and 4 more holes to do compression tests on. Then pull the oil pan and pressurize the cooling system before pulling the cylinder head. Oh, yeah, reinstall the fuel injectors before pressurizing the cooling system. You don’t want to push out any injector sleeves.
