you've been here Doug. 11 acres is 8800.00 per year,
Larry lives in a quiet, crystal-clear lakefront paradise out in in God's country. I live in a tiny little house in a crowded residential neighborhood. My garage is actually bigger (in footprint) than my house. And here I am paying more in property taxes than you are out there for a large mega-property!!!john_bud said:Yeah, I'm talking taxes and not purchase price. But, I have 7 of those 40's and it adds up fast. The house was purchased for $88,000 in 1988. Taxes were $1100 a year then, now they are $3800. If they pegged tax increases to the percentage of pay increase -- we'd all be much better off! I'm guessing that LarryRB isn't farming that 11 acres as the taxes are higher than corn, beans or any legal crop I can think of! So, when you guys going to VOTE OUT your set of bums?

Took the advice of the majority here... and this morning I ordered four brand new upgraded tires and rims for the 10K equipment trailer... same ones I got for the dump trailer. Lots of money for all these new 16" 80-profile "Load Range E" tires... but I like the idea of the 40% load safety factor, at least on wheels and tires.Oh Boy... Yet another vote for two (not three) axles. My brilliant idea is getting squished here rather badly.
