The very expensive part!!! The part where our "out-of-control" property taxes go up 10 to 15% per year... even with Proposition 2-1/2 still supposedly in place.

Wooded property when purchased in 1994 was $46 per 40 acres. Last year $650. That's 1413% increase in 12 years. "Somewhat" higher than the rate of inflation.

Yeah, but you are still paying almost nuthin' per acre! Kinda like postage stamps. Percentage-wise they go up like crazy... but it's still mere pennies. Not so here... where we have staggering property taxes going up by leaps and bounds!!! Gotta pay for all the political waste & corruption, social welfare programs, illegal aliens and public employee union demands somehow.

Guess what that 40 acres would cost you in Eastern Taxachusetts!!!

He's talking taxes Larry... you're talking cost or valuation. How much would property taxes be in that *vacation paradise* that you rich Northern Connecticut folks call home??? Even more than MA I would say!

One thing I know... They are WAY too high for me to ever think about living there!
