Gray, The addition of teeth reducing the capacity on this already heavy bucket is a valid concern. Right now when the bucket is high and in the complete dump mode and the grapple is open it is slow to level up again, only if I lower the bucket will it speed up to the level position.

That is why I would want round spear type teeth to stab brush and rake with and not use them for digging, I have the orange bucket for that.

The answer is because Harvey didn't have one to sell at a great price. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif But seriously I can see the 4 in 1 just as good in picking up trees but the grapple outshines when it comes to large quantities of brushy brush. I was also able to pick up 20 cattle panels horizontally and move them with the grapple. The grapple also keeps the brush further away from damaging the front of the tractor.

Jim, the brush near the house gets thrown on the burn pile for a bonfire and a hot dog marshmallow roast when company comes.
The brush farther away gets used as erosion control and wildlife habitat. The grapple sure beats throwing it in the trailer and then unloading it. Arrrg.

Harvey, Every day I am thinking of new projects during the welding class, I like the root blade idea! I might be the supplier of metal and projects for the other students, I bet the school at least will have a good grinder. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Has anyone made a landscape rake for the front quick connects? it would need wheels out front and the loader would have to be in the float position. It is just too easy to pop two levers to put on the next implement. /forums/images/graemlins/smirk.gif

When you address having to lower the loader so that you can level the grappel, is this a function of the horsepower of your tractor, or the amount of fluid flow or else? The local Kubota dealer would not recommend using a grappel on anything less than a 45 HP tractor because of his description of the same condition you wrote about.
