Nice job on the well ! I didnt see this thread until today, that backhoe sure did a great job !

BTW, how did you make out with the Belgians pastured with the cattle ? Everytime I walk by my neighbors place I look at the Belgians grazing with the cattle and think of you !

So far the big horse is still being boarded the place up the road where her old horse was. The people there generously offered to truck him to their place, to get her hooked on having an indoor arena, again. It seems to have worked but, we'll see for how long, her car just died. Darned escort is only worth fixing if the monkey (me) doing the repair, is working for free. Once I get the cylinder head off, we'll see if is salvagable.

Well you know the road, and how to get there ! Cant offer you a beer because Im not there right now but your always welcome. In fact if you go up Lamb Hill Rd to High Chapparal Rd, my Uncle Dave is the first place on the right, he always has cold beer !!!

BTW if your in Rutland you can go from West Rutland down RT #133 until you get to East Wells Rd and come in that way ! Lamb Hill is about 1 mile down on the right.

Update.
The well is working out nicely. I took the lid off and the thing is full up to ground level, about 7-8' of water. we had a dry spell this summer where it went dry but, no big deal. The el-cheapo utility pump is workin fine. The top freezes but, I haven't checked to see how thick the ice is. I'm using an old tub with a floating stock tank heater, so far, so good. It hasn't been real cold yet this year, just down to the single digits. At some point, I expect sub-zero cold and we'll see how well it works then.
