dumb drawbar question

I have had the same problem. I have a small trailer (4 X 8 stake bed with a 900lb load capacity) that I would like to use with the tractor. The trailer is very light and I pull it with my Toyota Camary since I don't own a truck. I know probably not very many people that own and tractor do not own a truck.

I tried the 3 point draw bar thing and yes, it did turn over and the trailer came loose. The piece of hardware that Inspector showed would work fine as long as i keep the 3 point all the way down and don't overload the trailer and keep the speed down. I have also tried putting the ball on the drawbar that came with the tractor. The only problem with that set up it that the trailer tongue is too short. You can't turn very sharp or the trailer hits the rear tires. I like Danny's solution too except for the cost. Anyone else have any other alternatives?

Along with a 3pt drawbar and a-frame kit, you can get a set of drawbar stays.. they hook between the toplink and the drawbar, and are adjustable.

We have a YM1520D and one of those light-weight "Utility" trailers. This is my solution. <drawbar_s>jpg>

It's a trailer hitch insert and ball from Wally World - cost maybe $30.00, 2-3 hours thinking, and 1/2 hour cutting & drilling.

I just made the upright out of some flat bar and bolted it to the draw bar. It works good and it is easy to build.

Very nice... looks like somehting that would be 'oem'.. etc.
In fact, only difference in that unit and the one I got from my NH dealer is they used a bolt and spacer on the top under the toplink connection vs a fixed bar...Looks like both work fine.

I was just referring to the cost of buying the attachment. All i have is just the flat draw bar.
