Dumb Feet Smart Boots

The most comfortable boots that I've ever worn are the new Wolverine Dura-Shock. Try a pair on at your local dealer, you won't be sorry.

I'll pre-empt this with I don't wear boots every day (at least, not every day in the summer). But, I do wear them every day in the winter and every weekend.

A couple of years ago, I switched to Red Wing Comfort fit (or, something like that). They are, hands down the most comfortable shoes I own. Priced reasonable and appear to hold up well. I keep 1 "work" pair, and 1 pair a bit nicer to wear to the office, out to eat, etc. Wife says she likes it when I wear them with shorts :p (well, I'm not sure "like" is what she really says, but you know how memories go  )

I have never tried the Wolverine shock series though. But, unless something happens to my Red Wings, I am a HUGE fan.

I wear boots everyday and I like the Wolverine dura shocks steel toe or regular. Redwings are good too. I have to try on boots, No way that I can just order a specific size. Different brands all fit me different. Used to wear the Walmarts on a regular basis, but broke my left foot several years ago and can't stand them anymore. The deals in the store say I'm a 9.5 D. Haven't had a D feel like it would fit that foot since I broke it. I have sat in the store and tried on different brands and had a 9 wide fit in one brand and a 10 EEE in another. Academy sports had about as good a selection around here as anybody.

chh, That's a good point about getting the right fit. I think that one of the big reasons my Red Wings fit so well is because I had someone who fit the boot to my foot. Meaning, not only is the length correct, but they also measured the width. Then, they brought out about a half-dozen boots of the same style. We tried different lengths AND widths. Ended up ordering a pair from them for no extra charge, and no obligation to actually buy that pair (which, I did because they fit like a glove!).
