Thanks! seems a weird kind of a sound for a pump. Tractor started after this video with no trouble and ran for an hour cutting the grass. After turning off the engine I could turn the key on and the pump would be working normal, did key off and on several time and each time the clicking started just fine.

I took a video but even when I crop it to about 10 seconds it still says it's too big to upload.

The pump should "click" continuously. It does NOT build pressure and shut off. Yes, it would be covered under warranty, as long as it's within the first 2 years. After 2 years it is not covered, but a dealer may replace it if they want to provide "customer appreciation ", which may not happen.

There were a few posters on here that have had that pump fail within a 30-50 hour period. I think one failed within 10 hours.

There are low pressure 12v fuel pumps available at auto parts stores. They are around 6-10 oz of pressure supply, similar to this:

I would give the dealer a call first, see if they'll replace it.

That pump failed on my MT 2 25. It would not run without it. New pump for me under warranty, clicking noise back when key on and not running. Can’t hear it when it runs. I think it’s supposed to click. My new one clicks, and the old one did before it failed.

Yes, they are supposed to click, pretty fast too. Good that it was replaced under warranty.

If the fuel filter(s) are after the pump, turn the key listen to and feel the pump clicking,
crack open a bleed screw or line and let some fuel escape and see if the pump starts clicking with lowered fuel pressure and becomes silent with pressure in the system. Could even attach a hose and take the fuel right back into the tank, see what kind of volume and pressure the pump is putting out.

Look like the pump is only covered under warranty for 2 years so I guess i'll have to buy a new one. Probably going to make sure the voltage getting to it and the connection are good first. Dealer said a new one is $100 so I'll probably look at the amazon one linked above or something similar.

Thanks again for all the feedback!

I was getting 12V at the connector. Thought it could be clogged maybe and wasn't able to operate, so i took the old one apart and it did have some debris in it, but when i put 12V on it, it still wouldn't operate. Ordered the EP-500-0 fuel pump on ebay for about $20 and it worked out well. The holes line up pretty well to mount it on the tractor.
