I've had my tractor for a month or so, so I haven't had a chance to do anything really dumb yet. But I'll tell you the smartest thing I've done - started reading the forums on this website.
Hey DanielVT,
I agree! I've managed to learn:
To hit the house with my rear blade. I was in the process of pulling our cars out of the snow (both stuck in driveway) and watching the FEL .. making sure to avoid hitting cars... I dident even feel the house.. but I knew something was very wrong just by the expression on my Wife's face.
Hit a borrowed trailer's fenders with my front grill guard (both fenders of borrowed trailer.. gads??) when loading re-claimed asphalt for road. Learned that if you want to try to get the bucket dump over to one side ... load FROM THAT SIDE!
Snag the shelter logic "tent" sides twice with rear blade (dang that thing is wide!). I've learned that if I back in the shelter in LOW range I do much better.
Put giant ruts into the front yard when trying to push a stump out. In the process I broke the 'in ground' wire for the dog fence. <2 places> .. came home next day with message from our nice neighbor that he had seen our dog roaming the neighborhood. I learned that if there is a culvert up slope with running watter in it... it's probably quite SOFT down slope from it.
Hopefully I will not have to post anything more in ths thread!!
Carry on,
Phill
