Dump Trailer for $2500-3500?

I'm not too concerned about the gate. Something like your would be great. Did you find it on Craigslist? I'm looking in the usually places (wantad,ebay,craigslist,etc) But it seems I can't find any low profiles. My neighbor had one of the deckover models and flipped it on the highway. After seeing that I would not get a deckover dump for free. I only plan on hauling materials with it so I'm not too concerned about low gvw( although 7k is a must) I'd like a scizzor lift but not against a cyclinder only.$2200 for a brimar is like stealing. Great find!!

Don't broad brush all deckover dump trailers by one incident. There a lots of deckover dump trailers and you don't see them all rolled over on the side of the road. I have one and it tracks smooth whether it's lite or heavy and nary a wiggle at highway speeds. There are many factors that go into the stability of a trailer including the design of the specific brand, balance of the load, tire pressure, brakes, tow vehicle and operator.

Ok I'll be even more blunt. I don't want a deckover dump. I'm sure they're great but for me I don't want one. I have found a few on craigs but no one has called back. For me if I can find one cheap it's worth having but its a want not a need. I just need to keep my eye's pealed.

Well, I'm extremely pleased, I found an 04 low profile on craigslist for $2500. I went and looked at a few local deckover dumps today and I had to go with the low profile. I'll be picking it up tommorrow and I'll try to post pics when I pick it up.

Duct, I actully found it up your way. The war dept isn't happy about it but she'll get over it. It looks like a three hour drive anyways. I really want to avoid tolls on the way back I'll be paying through the nose with all those axles. Good ol NH tolls!! How do you upload pics? Can antone point me in the right direction?

Well, the news gets better. I arrived at the gentlemans home to find it was a PJ dumper and not a 7k as the fellow told me but a 10k. With a huge cyclinder,adjustable hitch and a two way gate( barn door and spreader style) I couldn't be happier with the trailer. It's super heavy duty. I've priced the exact trailer new and it was around 7 grand. I believe the fellow I purchased it from didn't know what he had. I'll post pics as soon as I get the time.

See, and just a few days ago you were complaining !! Sounds like you did even better than i did! Where was the trailer? Yeah..... sorry about those tolls. But.... we need to zing you passers-through so we can keep our state sales tax free !! Hope you picked up a new refrigerator or something else expensive while you were here to get away without paying a sales tax !! I think i speak for everyone here when i say we want some pictures !!! I wasn't complaining, I just wasn't sure I was being a realist. I picked up the trailer in Ossipee. I went through the tolls on the way up but I mapquested around the tolls on the way back. It would have been too much with the two extra axles. So it was a win win for me today. I feel vindicated since I never find deals I always end up losing. It seems this time the odds went to me. It's actually a toast to TBN and it's members for the depth of knowledge and experience. Thanks again.
