I am having some difficulty dumping a load from my 210 loader? Seems as if the valve has gotten very tempermental in the possition of the joystich. This past weekend I was spreading 80 ton of gravel ( at 45.00 per hour), it seems when I go to dump a bucket full, sometimes I dumps quickly and other times is pivits at a snails pace. It seems to be the position I put the joystick in. If I push the joystick fully to the right it dumps but real slow, I have to move the joystick back towards the center to have it dump quickly? How anoying is that /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif Has anyone else had this problem, it don't remember it doing this before. On a possitive note, I couldn't be happier with my new 2210, 25 hours so far, extremely impressed with the loader, wasn't expecting it to be so strong. Looking forward to trying the front mount blower.

Yep, I've noticed that too. I did not note the joystick position though.
Don't be wishin' that blower on us too soon. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif
I know what you mean though, I picked up a 3 pt. blower this spring. Every time I look at it I think of how great it will be too use it, then I kick myself for what I am thinking.

You're running into what they call "regen" in the DSCV. I only wish I understood it enough to help you. I have the same thing and have read through the manual several times. There is a way to lock it out. Hopefully, someone else can provide some insight /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Ditto here also. I have 65 hours in 5 weeks and most of it was fell work. The dump most of the time just creeps and I know it wasn't this way in the beginning. I hope there is an adjustment someplace that will fix this. This problem just seemed to get worse in the last two weekends of use.

RodS is onto what you are experiencing (regen), at least that is how my 4300 with the 430 loader works. It has to do with the dump side (position) of the joystick, and there is a 'regular' speed position, and a 'fast dump' position. If you are in between, then there is the 'frustrated' position. Keep practicing, as it is a feature that is great when you have it figured out. Try the 'far right immediately' position on the joystick when you start dumping, and see if the response is better and faster than if you just move the joystick off dead center. (explanation is tougher than actually doing it, but the manual should have a diagram to go by)

I just talked to my dealer and they are sending a field mechanic to my home to check on an intermittent no crack problem along with the poor dump complaint I have. It just seems that the sweet spot you guys are talking about between fast and slow has gotten very narrow to non existant sometimes. Also lets say I have dumped a load and want to lower my bucket in while it is still in the dump postion and want to pull to the top of the pile back the bucket will just hinge foward like a limp rag instead of staying with pressure to drag the pile back. I can after some playing with the joy stick eventually get pressure so I can pull back.

Guess I will find out tomorrow.

Don't forget a double check of all loader hydraulic connections. If one of those plugs isn't just right, then that can affect performance in a very big way. (if you haven't been taking the loader on and off, then there shouldn't be anything that changed)
The "regen" position is supposed to allow the bucket to dump quicker, by bypassing the SCV and sending oil from one end of the cylinders to the other without going thru the valve. This is designed to reduce the delay a bucket can have while dumping a heavy load. On most loaders, there is a selector lever that locks the SCV joystick, and also allows you to select normal or regen position for the dump cycle. If you ever moved this lock lever, it might be worth double checking that also to see if it is in the proper position. (I believe it is right above where the joystick drops thru the frame next to the seat)
We'll see what the Technician finds out when he checks your loader.

Hi Dutch and thanks, the loader comes off at least twice a week so I can mount the belly mower to mow my current homes lawn. This will be the second time my dealer has agreed to make a home call. The last was for my X475 just before I sold it. Had to replaced a cracking seat and replace the dash because it was fogging over. Great dealership and service.

Deere X475Guy, I echo your response, If there is a fast dump feature, I can't find it & when I backdrag a pile, it takes me a couple trys before I can get the bucket to stay in position. Let me know what the tech has to say, if there's a problem, I'll set up a warranty call. BTW, I'm not gonna hijack this thread, so take a look at my new post on loss of hyd pressure and give me your thoughts as to whether you have the same problem.
Thanks
Eric

CAD2210,

I have experienced the same thing with my 410 loader on my 4110. I always asumed that when you dumped a full bucket, since it's heavier it tends to extend the cylinders faster than the pump can fill them so you end up with a void... You then have to wait till this void is filled with oil again to get quicker response from the loader. I think this could also explain why the bucket tends to move when your backing up trying to spread the pile you just dumped.

I just hold the joystick until I the bucket starts moving again (faster) and then I lower the loader and back up.
