What do you know on duromax dependability?

No idea how dependable they will be. I bought one for my daughter last year but they haven't had to use it yet. I did a thread on fuel consumption and load test. It isn't as quiet as clamed. Ran fine with a 40 amp 240 volt resistance load but over that it bogged down.

Most generators in this size show about 76 db for a noise level. That's fine if you don't need to be near it but too loud say for use in a campground. That's a very good test JD855 did running a 40A resistance load at 240V. That's about 9600 watts which is very good for a generator with 10,000 watt peak. I haven't checked my Miller Bobcat 10KW welder generator with a DB meter but know it is also very loud but as long as it runs the whole house during an outage I put up with it.

I read total harmonic distortion (THD) 15% unloaded 10% loaded.

It's a brush type generator if that tells you anything.

I bought one when it was on sale "a little" lower than that..
I haven't had a chance to use it yet but my DeVillbis 5250{running} ran my whole house minus the stove & AC
NEVER any problem w/ TV's or computers..
I just wanted a bigger unit.. cant wait till another outage..
