So, the price difference is still about $2000. I would be getting the larger tractor, especially with the backhoe use. Naturally, it's your money, but that's what I would do. For my uses, it's isn't even a close call.
Maybe it's time to step back and review all the other players in the market. Tell the dealer if they can get you into the DX35 for 27k INCLUDING all taxes and such you'll buy. Otherwise take some time for a look around. New stock is coming and the old stuff will still be there. I think that after a year on the lot, the dealer starts to pay monthly interest charges.
