Dying pasture in a drought

I would not mow it yet, the taller it is, the more shadow it will cast on the ground and help keep what dew moisture falls in the night.
Unless its fire danger, than shave that sucker flat...

What little rain we have received in the last three weeks has done the trick. All my lawns and pastures are "greening" up very nicely.
