Dynalube 12 Volt Grease Gun DANGER

I have plenty of both.

My H was Pos Ground, until I had the local case dealer bump it to 12 volt neg ground. Of course, he forgot to put a resistor in front of the ignition system, so I fried a few solenoids before figuring out the issue. Somebody ELSE fixed that one.

Fireworks are when you forget which one is positive.:mur:

You fried solenoids? Would have guessed coils or points maybee.

Every 12v tractor I have that started as 6v, still has a 6v solenoid.. They are quite robust.

Yes, not solenoid, 2 coils and the points. Took me forever to figure out why the tractor kept dying. That was one of my first experiences with big tractors, and one that pushed me to get a new one. Not from that dealership though.

Bit off topic, but a caution note

Airplane dashes are very busy places.
Once had a technician that got serious burn on his wrist as his metal watch band made contact with a 24volt buss bar and ground.

Same could always happen under a tractor dash or around any battery.

My late step Dad was an elecrician at a Steel Mill. One day while working in a cabinet, the door slowly closed on him.. A door with 600 volt goodies. His first thought was that a RAT was chewing on his elbow!
