Never use unsubscribe, your just helping the spammers to update their list of valid addresses.

Use message body or subject level filtering. Use the content of some of the messages you have already received as source for filters. You will find that the messages change over time and the spam will change but each time a message gets through, find the key words and block it.
By using a few vulgar words, sexual terms, "This is not spam" "Low interest rate" you can get rid of a lot of spam.

DocHeb,

It is embarassing to say that our ISP is my employer!! /w3tcompact/icons/shocked.gif I think that the bigger problem is that there are many "entry" points for the "junk" mail and they have bigger issues to monitor.

One thing you quickly learn to do ... with today's email climate ... is NEVER NEVER NEVER use the "unregister" function. As was pointed out by others, it lets them know your address was good (since many people use various means to stop automatic stripping of email addresses from various sources (especially usenet)).
Based on a lot of experience, it's best to just continue to auto-delete and it'll eventually slow to a trickle.
Another thing I ALWAYS do is to forward a copy of EVERY unwanted email to my ISP's abuse address. They're pretty good at slowing the crap down.
