Farmtrac 360 DTC with FEL & John Deere 5093E with FEL ,Kubota SVL 75-2
I have a 5093E 2011 model tractor and was looking at the specs on the tractor data and realized the 5083, 5093 and the 5101 all have the same engine with different PTO HP output , there is about 12 more HP when you go from the 5083 to the 5093 and about 5 more HP when you go from the 5093 to the 5101 all with the same JD 276 cubic inch power tech engine. My question is how is it done? Larger turbo? Or some other way, just curious.

I would guess more fuel with the injector pump ?

My 5101E which I absolutely love : is way stronger & sounds totally different thru the exhaust than my 5093E.
I sold my 5085E & replaced it with a 5115M for the 32spd + 16 additional speeds in creep ranges & the Extra POWER.

I run all 4 R4 tires 90% fluid filled on all of my tractors for traction & stability on my steep hills & banks.

The added weight really hurt the little 85hp Compared to the 93/101hp

What size R4 tires are you running?

I don't know your particular tractor but a change in timing can have a great effect on horsepower output. If you have a computer controlled engine the computer can be programmed to make these changes and the operator will never know the difference. It can also control the amount of fuel flowing. Of course, like a gasoline engine, valve size can make a difference as well. Some of the engines may have slightly increased compression while keeping the same displacement. Personally I believe a lower powered engine of the same displacement will probably have greater longevity but it's only a theory.

A local farmer I know just boosted his 300HP JD to almost 500 HP through a $2500 pirate programing. It can be done.Way cheaper than trading tractors.

These pre emissions JD E series aren’t computer controlled. Thank goodness

Would you mind when you get a chance posting a picture of the wheel weights, I have my rear tires loaded but I am definately interested in some more weight.

I wouldn't mind weights either. I can fill my 85" bucket as full as I can get it and it starts making the rear end light. I'm thinking of buying a Landplane type grader but a much heavier version in a 10' wide model. I think this would solve the ballast issues but weights would suffice. My biggest problem is my tractor is already so darn heavy.

The inside weights are 150lbs each on 5093E.
I ran 2 stacked together on the 5085E I sold.
Only one would fit inside the 5115M

The outside weights on 5101E are 350lbs each but I had to turn wheel centers around to accept them & run 4” steel wheel spacers to keep my same width.
