I also like how they tell you to "add oil if necessary" after performing the EZ Change oil change. Huh? Doesn't that defeat the "Easy" part for most folks?
This has been another issue users are having with it. From what I have gathered, you have to add quite a bit of oil, up to half a quart, when switching out the Easy Change filter. So not only $40.00 for the Easy Change kit, but the cost of a quart of oil on top of it. I think Popular Science was awarding this system without understanding that it really does next to nothing advantageous except avoid a little bit of mess. A previous post was right- most of these easy Change filters will just end up in the trash, giving it another thumbs down.
