EA 74" gear drive tiller vs TSC 72" tiller

Anyone have the everything attachments gear tiller?I can get it for about $150 more than the 72"from TSC that only tills 4". Should be a no brainer. Just wanted real feedback /advice from someone who has one. $2300 is a good chunk of change so I'm expecting a loooong lifespan from this tiller. Should I be looking at another brand as well? Any help is appreciated.

I just bought a new King Kutter 72" gear tiller for $1749. Nice heavy unit (721 pounds) balanced well and tills to 8". Has 6 tines per flange and 9 flanges. Running it with my 50 HP L5030 and it doesn't even know it's behind me.

Around me the going price is $1849, except the occasional sale price of $1749. Orsheln Farm & Home had it on sale but it's back to regular price now (for this area - Missouri).

I did see it at $1749 at Swishers in Warrensburg MO last week.

Trucking costs must be playing into your higher costs? Funny, I need to make a purchase from down your way at Stevens Tractor and am griping about the $173 shipping charge!!

You might try All Seasons Farm Equipment in Gulfport. Looks like they are a stocking King Kutter dealer.

I just looked and King Kutter is out of Winfield Alabama. Closer to you than me...if anything you ought to be able to get it cheaper.

I didn't buy the "Pro" model...perhaps that is what you are being quoted? I believe my model # was TG-72

I just bought a 6 foot King Kutter II at Atwoods for $1500. That was a sale price of $150 off so even if not on sale, it is still much cheaper than the EA unit and KK is a good brand made in the USA. It does have a Chinese gear box but then all tiller and bushhogs have gone to Chinese made gear boxes and PTO shafts. I doubt anyone is going to wear out a gearbox on a tiller unless they are professional farmers using them to till hundred acres per year.
If you have an Atwoods close by, check them out and ask them about a discount. They may just take you up on the offer. When I bought mine, the sale was the previous week and the manager still let me have it for the sale price.

The TSC country line is now made by tartar and they are $1999.99. For two inches? Heck there 7' one is only $2299.99.
