How many hours before they need replacing?

Don't know, but I'm only 15 hours into this set used on mostly 4-10" hardwoods. I can see a little wear at the tip of the claw, but not enough to warrant sharpening. I imagine I'll go 25hrs before sharpening.

How do determine the 15? I have a head that has 8 busted teeth on it, it seems at least on my head that one of the tips on the double tip cutters will break and it looks like a real clean break like the carbide just fell off. Also on the 2 grease daily fittings how many pumps do you give it? Just wanna know if i'm over or under greasing it.

For the 15 I just counted in 15 and replaced util there were 15 hammers left on the other side since it has 45 total. I have knocked off the carbide on a few teeth. I grease the head twice a day and usually 10 pumps per side. Don't know if it's right or wrong, but no problems yet.

I been giving it 20 pumps each side a day also there is a fitting on the upper bearing housing that needs to be greased every 40hrs. Just 2-3 pumps.

Just spin the heck out of it till all comes out. Been there with you name it including oilfield cable. Managed to pull fence wire in once and had to rebuild 150' of fence that really wasn't doing anything in the first place. Where's your gate? We couldn't run without the gate to spare adjacent houses, nosy onlookers and the poor surveyor staking the cut line. Plus we get a better mulch.

The gate won't work on the 320 so i took it off i learned real quick not to point it at houses or the highway but i put it back on when used it on the 268B kinda got use to it off tho.
