According to what I read on the DNR website (remember I live in Michigan), he wasn't 'mapping anything, just 'observing' the coastline. Having said that, My EVO will grid map and it wasn't 6500 either. I would NEVER own a DJI product. Too many others out there without geofencing.

I didn't read the DNR report just what was posted here. The quote said "a state environmental quality analyst was using a Phantom 4 Pro Advanced drone to map shoreline erosion around the lake" and I assumed it was the RTK model

The MDNR report never mentioned the brand of drone at all other than to say it was valued at $904 dollars which is a far cry from even my Aurtel EVO. Could have been a very used and abused Phantom 4 for all I know, but I don't think so. In fact I believe the MDNR mostly uses Parrots.
