I knew a man from Bradenton, Florida that worked in the oil fields there also. He told me that his Company housed all its employees in encampments that were protected on the outside perimeter by armed guards. His job was repairing and replacing the valves. He said the pay was really good, and he had been traveling to different Countries for his Company, I think, for around 15 years. He also said that sometimes incidents would happen outside at times that prevented them from doing their job, but that he got paid anyway since he was salary. I don't remember his name though.I get about one of these per day.......I should be retired by now....
Just left Nigeria, worked there for 4 years......fairly unsavory place.
