City folks don't appreciate this story: Our former home was a 100-yr.-old farmhouse surrounded by nothing but fields. The sun came in our upstairs bedroom window, right in our faces to wake us up -- BEAUTIFUL! Then the farmer sold his field across the road in 5 & 10 acre lots. When our new neighbor built his house, guess where the peak of his roof came? That's right -- exactly in our line of sight of the morning sun in the BR window. Nice folks and all, but they stole something I couldn't put a price on.
I've learned this lesson: you don't control any property unless you own it -- and sometimes not even then!
