Well, I finally recognized that winter is over and decided to pull the snow blade and quick hitch from my X585. Man, did they hit a home run with this setup. It took me all of 2 minutes to pull the blade and about as much time to pull the hitch. I made some wooden dollies for the two items and can roll them around the garage for storage. I wish some more companies did as good a job designing a user friendly part like JD did.

Yup!
You just gotta love those engineers at JD /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
That is why you pay a little more for the Deere's, for the well thought out things like this. I smile everytime I take my loader or MMM off at the simplicity of the whole thing.

I have a 4110 and love it, I have no trouble with my fel or reat blade on my imatch, but putting the deck on and off is another story

How about you, I start in the back and hook up from front to back. I do the left side 1st up to the deck then the right side then the front attachement. But I find it hard to put on, taking off is easy but it can take me sometimes up to an hour or so. any tips.

thanks roger

I just follow the instruction that came with the mower. Take me about 5 minutes to install.

Turn the tractor wheels full left.
I roll the deck under.
Hook up the 2 rear linkages.
Attach the front bracket to the deck, the secure to the front mount.
Reach under and hook up PTO shaft.

5 Minutes TOPS, not sure what your doing wrong to take a hour?

I'll second KennyD's opinion of about 5 minutes. I install/remove my deck on a nice level concrete floor though. On gravel/dirt/grass it would be a bit more difficult.

I'll 2nd the gravel/dirt issue. Trying to do it on bare ground is a major PITA, it takes some muscle to move that beast around. I put down some plywood and it makes the job soooo much easier. Hoping to get concrete in at least 1 bay in the barn this summer but have to replace a few rotted posts first.

I have a JD quick hitch and will sell it reasonable as it doesn't fit my KingKutter bushog. I'm in WV.

Bill,
The front Quick-Hitch is JD's way to mount front implements, like a front snow/dozer blade, snowblower, or rotary broom. I think the cost is about $400.00 or so, it also includes to hydraulics to raise and lower the implement.

Does that answer your question? or do you need more clarification?
