many of you saw and liked the loader that In built for my log splitter, the firewood market being what it is I decided to move in another direction, so I took it off the splitter and modified it to fit on my low bed now I use it to load and unload my sawmill this has given me at least a 35%increase in productivity, versus having to bring my tractor to site for loading, plus I can put the sawmill on the trailer with the cherry picker and offload for easy set up, nomore handling those heavy hemlock timbers by hand either:thumbsup:
the loader runs off a 6.5 hp briggs w/11gpm two stage and has lifted 1500lbs without any trouble, I have also used it to load scrap and junk.
cant wait to hang a buck from it this fall.

:thumbsup:That indeed is very very nice. I personally would not mind a few more details on its construction, any problems that you encountered and their solutions, and your design goals and how they were met.

I built the entire loader from scratch , there is no plan to speak of , I started
with the pump and a motor and built around it

Very nice.... Is that a Hud-son sawmill?

I am building a pole barn right now. My neighbor has this mill. You're right about the tractor. I hate having to start the tractor so many times just to dump the slab wood & grab another log with the forks.
