Saw this Yanmar 336D 4 x 4 Loader Tractor | eBaysell on ebay like probably a number of others on this board. I really thought about seeing if any members live near it to check it out but I got some rough estimates on shipping and that cooled my heels. Which was anywhere from $1000.00 and up as long as they could find other equipment to haul. I knew it would be in that range so not surprise Not many Yanmars in my area.

Well I didn't see that it didn't make reserve so it is relisted now.

I had been watching it and it was saying reserve not met then that disappeared when it went past $4500.00. At least I thought it did. I talked to the guy on the phone. Says it's is a local trade, runs good, no problem. He has a straight up 100% ebay rating. So he has done all right or at least no one complained.
Might have to call him back and see what the reserve is. I would bet 5k. I would be surprised if higher.

Talked to the guy and the reserve is $8500.00. Yikes. I don't see it happen!!!

He'll never get $8500. The repaint and general condition (replacement headlights, for example) indicate this is one to check over carefully in person before making an offer.

I have bought a couple of tractors and several pieces of equipment from this company. Most of their stuff is on consignment. As far as I know, he doesn't own any of them. Every time I've gone to pick one up he tells me "Look it over good and if it's not what you expected I'll give you your money back." They're straight up guys.

Like I said he has good reviews but $8500.00!! He says low reserve, I don't think that's low. Maybe I was told wrong or I heard wrong. If that is right I don't think this will be the last time he gets relisted. You must live near there. If it was more like 5k I would try to get someone to look at it for me but for that price it ain't gonna happen.

The trucking company that they reccommend on their ebay listing says "Great dealer to buy from!! We have shipped over 2,000 items for them." The guy I talked about the tractor said something along the line of the tractor came form some ol boy that stopped by and was about broke sold it to them. Also told me it was real good running and only thing that he thought was of any concern was slow power steering. I've seen another post on here for a 336d that had similar issues.

I personally wouldnt pay half that for it. it has had a slap up paint job and a little "butchery" done by the looks of it.

Also could be that Ol Boy is cagy like a fox and unloaded a problem tractor on this reputable dealer. Sounds like nobody will know until the new owner has a few hours on it.

Well it is relisted for the third time now. Never will get the reserve unless he lowers it.

What did these sell for new? ... Almost seems like -muscle car pricing

The grey tractors weren't sold new here in the states. Who knows what they sold new for in the 80's in Japan.
