Be careful with the 194 saw. They are a clamshell strato design. Almost reminds me of their rear handle 180 saw but in a later top handle epa version.

Rods are weak if you ever have to work on it yourself. Be careful they bend.

My stihl 150T was built like the 2511 with bolt on cylinder to the mag insert crank area. But with cheap rod.

194 crank pic.
Poulan small plastic cheap saws even use a better rod then the cheap stihl clamshell small saws.

But sure it will serve you fine. Shame on already having to return one though. Wow.

So, a bump to this thread.
I got my CS-2511tn back today with the Egan pipe and bucking spike. I wanted to get several tanks of gas through it first. I love this saw, and now I love it more. My saw mechanic tuned it back about 400 rpm from top rpm for longevity. It has a raspy sound, and it is loud, but I expected even louder. It cuts great, and I like it!

OEM 2511PN and 2 clone 2511

Egain pipe on OEM good for 28% over stock oem stuffed muffler.
Clones are open mufflers with smaller pipe already.

What’s the weight/power difference between the two saws?

Mike
The Stihl is heavier, but heavy saws only seem to bother old tired guys.
I’ll be there someday, but until then, weight is of little consequence.
I’ll take twice the speed and a little extra weight.

Still (or Stihl) haven’t bent the con rod yet.

If your wanting or into plastic clamshell saws in 35cc range I would look at the Echo 355. It is into the 8lb range saws and new oem. Take it over the plastic stihls offering today.

Size difference in 25cc v/s 35cc. They all have their uses. G111 a clone of the good ole stihl 200T. Runs just like my oem one did. A real good 35cc built like a pro saw should be.

5lbs and 8lbs PHO as used that grows apart even further.

Which of those Amazon 2511 clones are the best/closest to an Echo?
Being I never bought a saw on amazon couldn't tell ya anything about them.

I order straight from the makers or a US dealer.

Farmertec Joncutter G2511 and V-modest 2511 seem almost right on part with each other.
Both better then that neojunk I like to call that other clone company. They just aint refined and about 5-10years behind Farmertec IMO.

But IMHO it's a no brainer which to buy. Farmertec one is $99 shipped and the Vmodest one cost me $140 shipped.

Both equal but the deal is joncutter 2511 by Farmertec.

25cc small saws.

Also if picking one set to do everything. Get the Oregon Nano set up in 325 043.

1/4" mini micro smoothest for fruit tree pruning. But also slowest cutting.

3/8LP better on the 35cc saws for quick dismantling cuts. Nano 325 slower cutting on 35cc but smoother.
