How can that be?? If the speedo says 100kmh and you are really only doing 90kmh then it should be reflected in total distance travelled over an hour; No?

So odometer says you travelled 100km in 1 hour when the speedo/gps says otherwise. Did you compare gps travelled distance against the odometer?

Check speed with GPS, check distance with mile markers. and you're right, it doesn't make sense. When we first got our explorer we were amazed at the lack of speed sensation.... and then we checked it with the GPS.

The gps is highly accurate (usually within 15 meters) when checking travel distance. No need for mile markers as the gps will do it all.

No need for mile markers. The gps is highly accurate and will do it all
