Snow Edge Tamer attachments

I plan on purchasing a plow for next year, but it wasn't in the budget for this year. I didn't think the tamers would work for my gravel driveway, because it's not in the best shape. It has too high of a center, and a mix of different sized gravel that is well compacted in some areas, but very loose in others. I made my own "edge saver", mostly just hoping it would stop me from scraping too much gravel off the driveway. It has worked amazingly well. Works great on my gravel driveway, and even better on grass (frozen ground).

The beauty of the edge tamers is that they work well, and are only a 2 minute job to install/remove.

And available commercially for those of us without the skills to fabricate something. The ease of install/remove is a huge plus.

I get that. Was just showing the OP that there's other options out there, that can work just as well, or even better in certain situations. My solution comes on and off in about 5 minutes as well (it's just 5 bolts).

Have uneven ground that I clear with bucket or blower. Edge tamers on bucket make it much easier, more relaxed, don't take as much attention to avoid scraping up ground. Have 3 on a 72" bucket. Have not tried without center one but will one of these days probably.

I have them for my 67" bucket. I bought 3 so I have one to span the gap in the middle. They work exactly as advertised and I like them. In winter time, once our ground freezes up hard, it usually stays frozen until spring. So currently, mine are off again, as there's no need to worry about picking anything up with the edge yet. I use them in summer time too, if I'm moving dirt or gravel from a pile, I don't have to worry about digging in below grade level.

I also bought the Edge Extenders, and use them often in the summer time. They help with general tree/branch cleanup, and I can carry things like fence posts, or hang buckets from them. Most of the time in summer, if my Edge Tamers are on, it's to I can use the Extenders for something.

If I had to take my trash can down a long driveway, I'd also have the Trash Tamer too. But my trash service guy pulls in and turns around in my drive to pick up my can up by the house, so I haven't needed it.

Meant to add, about the only down side to having them on is you can't back drag with the bucket with them on, since they stick past the edge of the bucket a fair bit.

Forgot to mention I have the edge extenders too. Some would say well why not get bucket forks and that is a fair question. The reason I like them is they are nowhere near as long as forks. Easy to put on and remove. So if you need to move around 4 wood posts or 50 t posts or something they are ideal.
