My new to me 4310 feels somewhat asymmetrical on the forward and reverse pedal response. The tractor will begin to move at the early parts of the pedal but doesn't seem to be linear from slow to full speed. Near the end of the pedal travel it will lurch forward.

Is this normal?

I am use to the mechanical forward and reverse on my 855. It may be I just have to get used to the drive by wire if the Ehydro.

Not normal at all. Should be a smooth increase as pedal pressure increases.

Thanks for the response.

Guess I need to go through the calibration outlined in the service manual.

The instructions for calibrating the pots is after the instructions for checking voltage. The voltage test requires a breakout box I don't have.

The pot calibration says to disconnect the breakout box and reconnect the regular harness. However it says when you turn the key on to begin the fault indicator light should blink a particular sequence. I guess the fault is generated by the previous test with the breakout box in place.

Trying to jump straight to pot calibration doesn't show a fault code or do anything that I can tell.

Anybody know how to make or get around the need for the breakout box?

What RPMs are you running at? and did you make sure the trans fluid is full? Both of those scenarios with low RPMs and low fluid may affect your tractor that way.

Fluid is right in the middle of the sight glass. Feels the same at cold and warmed up. I am guilty of not running at full RPMs. I don't recall it making much difference when I ran it at PTO speed though.

It is not something that I can't get used to I guess. Just a totally different feel from my mechanical hydro. I like the reduced pedal effort. Just wish it was more linear.
