So, I'm no rookie with diesel engines but all my experience is from trucking where you pretty much mash it to the floor, catch the next gear and commence to mashing some more. I've never had an automatic tranny behind a diesel and mashing the eHydro doesn't seem to do a whole helluva lot. Can someone smarter than I 'splain that one for me?

If it starts to stall get your foot off the throttle .Rev that puppy up and try again, its a tractor not a truck...

I'm beginning to figure that out, LOL! Old habits die hard. It's all about the throttle set, not the right foot, yes?

Think of te pedal as a variable gear changer, rather than a accelerator. The more you push, the higher the gear and less power/torque. The less you push, the lower the gear and more power/torque.

Takes some getting used to. I kinda figured it out by trial & error but didn't really grasp what was going on, thanks for that explanation. It's pretty stinkin' counter-intuitive if ya axe me.

This little tractor is in really good shape for the most part but the tach is busted and I don't have $500 for a new instrument panel right now so we've been playing by ear, literally. And I can't find the Jake switch either, oh well. ;)

Thanks for the help y'all. This forum has already saved me from myself a bunch of times, sure appreciate it.

Set the throttle and adjust your forward speed with the peddle. Once you get the hang of it it is very intuitive. You will start to think the the old way is counter intuitive.:D
