Electonic Anti-rust

Anyone using electronic anti-rust on their tractors or other vehicles? Does it work?

Are you talking about installing an anode, like in a water heater, or that they use on pipelines and such?

I am interested in that as well. I herd of the devices a couple of years ago and Kinda forgot about them because it seemed a bit of a stretch to me at the time.

A company named "CounterAct " sells the product, I believe it is different then for pipeline use. In the add they say not to confuse it. I believe in pipelines they use a coating of zinc anodized. I have to study the subject!

Right now I'm about to go get a paycheck. I'll check back later.

I have seen the CounterAct system in use before on a local company's trucks that are used to plow snow in the winter. Talking with the owner he sais he's sold and thinks they do work. He said the dump trucks that have them installed show less rust then those that do not. I personally have never used one so can't speak from personal experience.

I put one on the Toyota when it was new. Got it from JC Whitney. It lasted about 10 months before it quit working altogether (no led's). JC sent me a replacement that lasted 9 additional months before it quit altogether.

I never installed a 3rd unit.

Pineridge do you mean led's to illustrate if functioning and was it a CounterAct brand?

Yes the led's meant that the unit was powered and pulsing. Don't know the brand name, and never really had the darn thing long enough to see if it actually deterred rust.

I finally found a number for CounterAct 1-814-745-7535.

I have an 06 Sierra crew cab, a unit for it runs $349., for the tractor they are going to call back.

I'm told they supply the salt mining industry since 1987.
