ELECTRIC FENCE LIGHTNING DIVERTER THOUGHTS ?

Cant really believe it ? What you all think ? Animal hit by lightning ? Bad weak heart ? Got zapped standing in water ? Can't believe reviewer even posted that ?

I put one in on my fence. My thought was that the fence covers a lot of area and odds are decent that if lightning hits anywhere near the fence, it's going to cause problems. I've had clients that had all of their electronics fried from lightning strikes 100 feet away. If I never need it, I'm not too worried about what it cost.

Yes, that's my review and what I'm using. It's worked flawlessly since installing it. Maybe too good!!! About a year ago I was walking by the fence with a T-post and wasn't paying attention to where the back end of the T-post was. As I went through the gate, I turned and touched the hot wire with the T-post. The shock was overwhelming. The T-post fell to the ground because I lost control of my hands. I popped just about every joint in my back and it felt like something popped in the back of my brain. I've touched hot 110 wires before and this was a lot worse then that!!! Then two weeks ago I was carrying a box fan as I went through the gate and did the exact same thing again. I wasn't paying attention to where the fan was and when it touched the hot wire, I had the exact same reaction as the first time. Only difference is that I really felt stupid for doing it again. Since then I've been planning on wrapping that wire with something. Probably slice up a piece of PEX and slip it over the wire. I really need to do that right away.
