I need a small electric power washer. It will be used for light cleaning on lawn mowers, yard furniture, etc. The Campbell-Hausfield that I have has died. Does anyone have a reccommendation of which of the smaller brands are the best?

We have a Husky purchased at Home Depot for $169 that works great for the tasks you mention.

Where is the Husky made? The C-H I have was made in Italy, the Karcher that I have looked at is made in Germany. Would rather have a U.S. made if possible.

I just bought the same Husky. I don't know where it is made, but it is the private label brand sold by Home Depot. The same unit is probably availble at other home centers with a different name on it.

I have no idea where it's made. You might want to find the Husky web site. Perhaps they mention it there.

My wife bought one of the under $100.00 specials that has 1350 PSI. I can attest to it working really well. It will clean lawn furniture, blows the mold and mildew off the deck and discoloration, cleaned my tractor and the siding on the house. What more could I ask for that cost under $100.00.

Me too!

Last year I bought the 1700 psi, $169 unit from Home Depot.
It works great for the same tasks that others described.

I bought mine to take up on the roof and blast two big peeling dormers before repainting. It was a convenient size for this and worked great - saved me hours of manual scraping in a very awkward location. Likewise excellent for the underside of the eaves all the way around the house.

I found its limit when I went to blast mildew off the north side of the water tower - It cleaned the first story walls fine, ready to prime, but it didn't have the power to blast the second and third story walls clean while standing on the ground. There's a reason why the gas powered contractor units have far more horsepower.

Overall I highly recommend it.

I just went out in the barn to see. My 2003 model Husky from Home Depot shows 'Made in Italy'.

Correcting my prior post, its 1650 psi.

I have a Karcher with 1300 or 1400 PSI.
I got it at Northern for about $100.
It's lasted two seasons so far with no problems.
