Mine has ( and I use ) the plastic cover.
In both storms, the wind was so strong it drove water UP under dash cowling, and even up under a trap in that big storm we had a few weeks a go. ( I see you are nearby).

Looks like a machine shed, come spring.
These things are worse than boats ! (just more useful) grin

Agreed, but a little tougher than a boat, it never seems to take much to get a boat unhappy. Same battle against the field mice and chipmunks and squirrels though.
