I have a little electric splitter that I use in the winter to split kindling/etc without firing up the gas unit, or trying to crack my concrete by trying to split with a maul. I usually held the log in place while working the two levers with my foot, so I didn't have to been over and reach around the back of the splitter. Well, anyway..
