Id gladly run an electric tractor... if it wasn’t 2x the cost with 1/2 the capability.

It is early days. Folks for whom there is value in these versions will buy these versions, and others will buy future versions with improved _________. "Rome was built in a day..." People around here are still eager to buy D2 caterpillars; it meets a niche.

The first Ford Model T had 20HP. The first PCs were 8 bit and ran at 4.17MHz. Things evolve to where the need is. If the product isn't where you want it to be, wait. I wouldn't sweat it.

If their EV taxi will run without turning on the headlights (to make the car visible to others) - then GM's design isn't yet mature.

I see lots of post on TBN with people hitting 100hrs after 4 or 5 years of use. Seems like an electric would do them just fine.

Then conversely…. What’s the planet’s damage from a small diesel machine that only burns fuel 100 hours every 5 years? ….

What’s the planet’s damage from earth mining for a lithium battery that’s only sitting degrading for 5 years with minimal use?
