I have a 2017 CK 3510 SE HC I want to add an additional led rear work light. There is a wire harness and connector already there just below the windshield washer fluid container which is already hot. The connector is the same as the one on the wire harness located on the upper left part of the cab and I assume is wired in for the optional emergency beacon/warning light.
I have two questions the first being I assume the wire harness must to lead to somewhere around the dash to allow for a switch there are some blanks in the panel below the steering wheel beside the rocker switch for the cruise control. Any ideas? The second question is would anyone know where I might get a connector so I can just plug in a work light. I could just cut it off and splice together but I would prefer a proper connector.

Thanks

Hey Neighbour, I bought an actual Kioti work light from my dealer a few years ago and it plugged right in to a similar outlet on my CK30HST. The light has it's own switch but the outlet is only hot when the light switch on the dash is turned on. Dutchy

Thanks Dutchy
Will look into that, being a cab model it has the front and rear upper work lights, being halogen kind of useless compared to led. Usually don't blow the snow at night because I can usually wait until the day time. Think I used it twice at night this past winter then only used the front loader, and just cleared a bit to the barn. I am looking for oval shaped work lights to replace at least the 2 rear halogen cab lights plus add an additional rear work light. My old John Deere 2520 had two connectors for rear work lights

Sounds like it may already be wired to the lights? Do you have a test meter? Would be easy to see. It can only be 12v.
I have an open station and have the same connector on the left side of the ROPS. The right side has two single wire terminals that don't seem to be for anything either.
Looks like a fairly standard 12v connector. Might be able to find at a parts store. The dealer should have a part number and could probably get one. With a part number you could probably also get it from Amazon or another electronic supplier like Granger.

I like your thinking. I haven't added any lights to mine yet. I may go put a meter on mine this evening and see what it's connected to.

Check the connector for some very small numbers. A lot of times they mold them into these connectors. Tyco and Molex are two of the big players in the connector world. You may find them on Amazon but sites like mouser and allied will have a better selection.

I have a new 3510 SE ROPS and it has the same connector. Autozone, O’Reillys, and Advance Auto Parts all failed to identify the connector and I cannot see any markings. That one is on the left side behind the seat. On the right is a pair of bullet connectors (those are definitely for lights as posted in another thread). I too would like to at least know what the connector is for and how to use it.

I did find a company based in Chicago called Connector Experts by sending them the same photos as I posted they have them, but it was something like $50 If I recall in shipping to Canada for connectors that are about $1.00 each don't know why they couldn't sell me a half dozen and ship them via USPS

On my CK35 I used the "customer Plug" for my LED work lights I installed on the ROPs. I ordered the plug from China from a link I found on this site. I have an extra if you would like to have it? JohnCustomer Plug.jpgCustomer plug2.jpg
