My home owners policy requires me to carry a rider-$380.00 year for my 5325 and about $100.00 a year for the X475/loader-we're on farm policy rates so lots of regular stuff everyone else gets for free we don't. However insurring my wifes 120 sheep only costs $150.00-go figure

I added my JD 4320 and all it's attatchments to my home-owners policy. When your talking 50-60 grand it's worth the extra insurance.

I've recently started looking for insurance for a small tractor business I'm starting. MANY issues to look into. Does insurance cover you if a friend tows your tractor??? Probably not. Are you insured if you are off property tilling your neighbors garden as a favor??? Probably not. Is this insurance cheap....NO. Many won't insure small tractor business. Especially if you move the earch in any way, including my tiller. They don't make it easy. Call insurance companies and ask for specifics. Ask about trailer coverage, transport, helping a neighbor move some loam, clean a stall, anything you might be doing. You might be surprised.
