It is in high gear with the RPM's at about the 540 range for the rear pto.

hi gear is a road gear only. Flat land, little load. It's not designed to be 'worked' in high.

what if you turn to the right and glow light never comes on?

A possible problem with block heaters I've only read about is. The glow plugs censer reads engine temp from coolant. So in cold weather and you have added a block heater the glow plugs do not heat fuel long enough if at all, because coolant/ engine are warm.

Has anyone had this problem with starting in cold weather, after adding a block heater? I'm looking at installing a block heater to my eMax but do not want to create other problems.

.

If you turn the key to the left, the glow plugs will light regardless of engine temp.

I'm curious how your problem has evolved.
I've been dealing with similar starting issues on my emax 25.

Dealer has looked at it several times and can't pin it down, other than they think it is a fuel problem.
It's randomly not started for quite a while now, even managed to do it while they had it.
Got it back yesterday, started fine.
Today it started right up, but while I was using it it just stopped, no sputtering or anything just stopped, like you had reach up and turned the key off.
After about 10 minutes it started again, used it for maybe 20 and it stopped again. Won't start.
Will be having the dealer come get it. Again.

Already had to have the muffler replaced due to it breaking completely off at a weld. New muffler has additional brackets. At least that was covered by warranty.
Replaced a hydraulic hose because it was draped across the pulley on the belly mower, cut right through it. I re-routed the replacement so that can't happen again, I paid for that out of pocket.

Edit: Went out after reading thru these, ran the 10amp fuse that is in a separate holder in and out a few times, moved the wires around and it started right up. No idea if that is the issue, since it very well might have started tomorrow like nothing had happened.
Still don't know why it just stopped running on me twice though, lucky for me I was in the yard and not on the side of the road!

check your main grounds where they go onto the frame, its possible they put the connector over the painted frame, check all main connections you may be able to find a flaw with the naked eye. also tractors are known to have thin battery cables, check for any corrosion on the battery connectors and make sure they are properly fastened

Sorry for not getting back sooner. My issue ended up being the 10amp fuse that is in a seperate fuse holder off the wiring harness next to the fuse box in the engine bay. I pulled it, added some diaelectric grease and it has been starting fine ever since!

I have a 2012 22 Max HST. It would only run if you held the key in the START position. I inspected the connector to the ETR (fuel cutoff solenoid) and found water and corrosion. I'm assuming this killed the solenoid. I tested it and it would only retract when starting but not hold retracted. Here is a YouTube video I made of the defective solenoid. A properly functioning one will remain retracted halfway when the key is in the ON position after starting. The new part fixed the problem. Read the video notes for part numbers. Note that you can buy aftermarket (read: junk) solenoids for $75 or so. My dealer invoiced me $226 for the OE part and put the billing on hold to see if MUSA will pay for it under warranty.

Failed Mahindra 22 Max ETR Solenoid. Only allows injector pump to start but not idle. - YouTube

Just became a member so that I could reply to this thread and thank the OP and everyone that replied.
I have a 2017 Emax 22 and had the same problem. Crank but not start. The 10 amp fuse was blown.

This thread saved me a lot of grief because I parked the tractor in the yard to run an errand, it would not start when I returned. Had to leave it there for two days until I could figure out what was wrong with it. Could not load it on a trailer to take it to the dealership because the loader bucket and MMM were sitting on the ground. Thank you again.
