Embarrassing Mistake

:ashamed:Well I had my oppps mistake when I put my new pallet forks on the bucket. The wife has been on me for over a year to clean up all my wood piles along the driveway so I cleaned me out a area where I can safely burn. Well I went up to get my first load to get her off my back and everything went good and took my first load to the new burn pile. When I went to dump my first load it all went off into the pile including my forks and the wife just stood there laughing at me knowing that I am always saying pay attention to details. I forgot to tighten them up and boy did she rub it in. In the photo's you will see the first pile out of about 14 cause our driveway is over 1/4 mile long and in that pile somewhere are my forks.

I think we have all done things like that....don't ya just hate it when the Mrs. has to see it though ... Did you try pulling back up to the forks and letting your Mrs. guide you to slide the lip of the bucket back on them and then tighten them down and pull them out...?????

I am just going to toss a strap onto the stabilizer bar and pull them out when she is not around and remount them. I will get her back for laughing at me and will post it here with photo's.

Oldballs I am good to go seeing I do 97% of the cooking plus she is just a Auburn Tiger fan so no threat there.

Don't feel too bad, I did the same thing with my grapple. In a rush to hook up and move a pile of brush to burn, I forgot to lower the lock levers. Stayed on until I went to dump the load.....grapple and all! Thank goodness my hydraulic lines were long, otherwise it likely would have snatched them off the tractor!

A lot easier and cleaner to get those back than when we clean stalls, I forget to latch the QA bucket after changing attachments and dump stuff in the dumpster. In goes the bucket along with manure and old shavings. You would think you would learn the first time but does not seem to happen. :ashamed:

The bad thing I did was this was in front of my wife and she had a field day with it and she might have even posted it on face book. I will get my revenge and have now a plan in the works. I was trying to make her happy about cleaning out all the wood piles but then again she is Auburn fan and I am a Alabama fan so we are at war 24/7 365 days a year.
Trust me I will win this battle.

Reminds me of the day after pulling a rock that i burried my drawbar when backfilling the hole! Stuff happens, but good that it was harmless, bad that someone saw!
